Job summary

Nooksack Indian Tribe seeks an Elders Kitchen Assistant Coordinator to support the Elders Program under the Assistant Director of Social Services. You will assist with shopping, prepare and cook lunch, set up and clean dining areas, and help sanitize food prep spaces.

Responsibilities include menu-based cooking, daily waste tracking, inventory, logging meals served, collecting small cash from participants under 55, and maintaining records per Title VI guidelines; you may perform other duties as

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED equivalent.
• Culinary degree with two years related experience.
• Or five years directly related experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sign-in sheet and track Elders served daily.
• Pre-clean and sanitize food prep and serving areas and utensils.
• Cook nutritional meals per menu and number of participants.
• Clean dishes, utensils, tables, counters and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized kitchen and dining area.
• Record cash sales and prepare a weekly cash log.
• Log meals served and waste; inventory control and date foods.
• Other duties assigned and Title VI records maintained.
