Job summary

Nooksack Indian Tribe seeks an Elders Kitchen Assistant Coordinator to support grocery shopping, prepare and cook lunch, and handle setup and cleanup for the Elders Program. You will pre-clean and sanitize areas, collect cash from younger participants, and help with menu-driven meal planning and inventory.

Responsibilities include daily waste/logs, ensuring Title VI compliance, and assisting with food orders while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment for elders.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED equivalent.
• Culinary degree and two years directly related experience.
• Or five years directly related experience.

Responsibilities

• Pre-clean and sanitize food prep and serving areas and utensils.
• Prepare and cook lunch for Elders program according to menu and quantities.
• Set up and break down tables, serve meals, and clean kitchen after meals.
• Collect $5.00 from participants under 55 and log daily cash.
• Maintain waste and portion control logs; track meals served and delivered.
• Order food and maintain daily inventory.
• Maintain food production records as required by Title VI.
