Job summary

Samsara, a leader in Connected Operations, seeks an experienced Compliance Product Support Engineer to join the Global Technical Support team. This role is the technical authority for ELD compliance software, bridging customers, field teams, and R&D to ensure 100% accuracy in Hours of Service and RODS data.

You will own end-to-end escalations, analyze telemetry, support audits, and drive post-mortem improvements while collaborating across product and legal teams.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical), or similar technical field.
• 6+ years of experience in technical support, field engineering, or systems engineering with distributed, hardware-integrated products.
• Familiarity with ELD rules and regulations.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence across the company.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to discuss technical topics clearly.
• Technical know-how interfacing with engineers and translating complex concepts for SaaS products.
• Demonstrated resourcefulness, creativity, and problem-solving in fast-paced environments.
• Experience in direct customer interaction, incident response, and after-hours support cadence.

Responsibilities

• Serve as final escalation point for intricate ELD compliance product issues.
• Own end-to-end lifecycle of complex product issues, coordinating with R&D.
• Analyze device telemetry and fleet patterns, translating data into actionable narratives.
• Provide technical support for audits and inspections with Escalations, Product, and Legal teams.
• Lead post-mortem analyses to identify root causes and actionable trends.
• Collaborate with Support and R&D to resolve customer issues and escalations.
• Deliver technical feedback for new products to ensure supportability.
• Define success criteria, validation plans, and runbooks for new feature launches.
• Develop internal tools to accelerate ticket resolution and trend analysis.
• Provide technical coaching and case reviews to raise team expertise.
