Center City PCS seeks an experienced ELA/Literacy Instructional Coach to support teachers in grades 3–8 within a pilot six-month appointment, with potential for extension. The coach will work with the Principal to strengthen literacy instruction and implement the Wit & Wisdom curriculum.

You will observe classrooms, provide actionable feedback, model lessons, plan with teachers, analyze student work, and help translate data into instructional changes.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree required; master's preferred.
• Significant experience teaching ELA/literacy across upper elementary to middle school.
• Experience coaching teachers and providing actionable feedback.
• Experience conducting classroom observations and using data to inform instruction.
• Strong knowledge of standards-aligned literacy instruction (reading, writing, discourse).
• Experience supporting lesson planning, curriculum internalization, data analysis, and instructional adjustment.

Responsabilidades

• Provide regular, job-embedded coaching to ELA/literacy teachers in grades 3–8 through observations, feedback, modeling, co-planning, rehearsal, and follow-up.
• Support implementation of Wit & Wisdom curriculum with unit/lesson prep and pacing.
• Establish coaching cycles based on teacher need and data.
• Conduct frequent observations and provide timely feedback on practice changes.
• Help teachers analyze student work and translate findings into instructional adjustments.
• Facilitate planning with teachers for upcoming units.
