Job summary

Fort Bend ISD is seeking an ELA Interventionist to develop a student-centered approach to close the achievement gap in English and Language Arts. The role provides RTI-aligned intervention and supports to ensure students master grade-level standards.

The incumbent will collaborate with administrators and teachers to implement an effective intervention model, utilize data to guide scheduling, and support enrichment activities in ELA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.
• Valid Texas teaching certification appropriate to subject and grade level.
• Knowledge of TEKS, ELA curriculum, and best practices in ELA instruction.
• Experience with Guided ELA instruction and manipulatives to develop understanding.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with campus teachers to deliver research-based ELA instruction.
• Plan and deliver targeted interventions aligned with the District RTI plan.
• Provide ongoing professional learning to support co-teaching and best ELA practices.
• Use small group instruction, push-in model, and manipulatives to build understanding.
• Monitor progress and adjust interventions using district data reports.
• Coordinate ELA intervention and enrichment activities for students.
