Job summary

Chicago Public Schools (CPS) seeks an EL Network Specialist to support programs for English Learners, driving academic achievement across PreK-12. Reporting to the EL Network Support Manager, you will provide instructional support and develop capacity among administrators, teachers, and leaders.

The role emphasizes EL instruction expertise, data-informed planning, professional development, and collaboration with district offices to align EL efforts with district goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Valid teaching certificate/Professional Educator's License (PEL) with Bilingual and/or ESL endorsement(s).
• Master's degree in Education strongly preferred.
• Administrative endorsement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide differentiated instructional support to model effective EL practices.
• Drive data-informed instructional planning for EL instruction across schools.
• Lead professional development for EL teacher leaders and network administrators.
• Coach EL Teacher Leaders in instructional leadership and data use.
• Collaborate with CPS offices to align EL initiatives with district goals.
• Participate in district-wide professional learning and advocate EL considerations.
