Job summary

Chicago Public Schools (CPS) seeks an EL Instructional Specialist: Dual Language to strengthen and support CPS dual language programs. You will promote bilingualism and biliteracy, work with schools to ensure high-quality instruction, and align curriculum with standards while embedding culturally relevant content.

You will lead data-driven improvements, provide targeted coaching, and collaborate across departments to sustain equity and excellence in language education for all CPS students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in bilingual and/or dual language education or related field.
• Master's Degree preferred
• Illinois Professional Educator Licensure, Bilingual and/or ESL endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Conduct classroom observations and data analysis to assess program effectiveness.
• Provide targeted teacher support and professional development to improve instructional practices.
• Develop and refine dual language curriculum aligned with district standards.
• Ensure curriculum integrates culturally relevant content and diverse perspectives.
• Utilize student performance data to inform program modifications and improvements.
• Design and facilitate professional development for teachers and staff.
• Collaborate with administrators and instructional leaders to maintain high program quality.
