Job summary

Odyssey Energy’s Altura Cogen facility in Channelview, Texas seeks a skilled EI&C technician to support installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of electrical controls and instrumentation systems.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting motors and switchgear, and documenting activities in MAXIMO, while following OSHA and NFPA 70E safety requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1–3 years of electrical maintenance experience in industrial settings.
• Ability to read basic electrical drawings and schematics.
• Valid driver's license and legal work authorization in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment under supervision.
• Assist with troubleshooting motors, breakers, switchgear, MCCs, and related equipment.
• Support inspections and maintenance during planned outages.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and equipment manuals.
• Document maintenance activities in MAXIMO.
• Adhere to OSHA and NFPA 70E safety requirements.
• Learn plant electrical systems through on-the-job training.
• Operate plant equipment (trucks, cranes, forklifts, scissor lifts).
• Maintain housekeeping in electrical shops and inventory management of spare parts.
