Job summary

Silgan Containers in Tolleson, AZ, is seeking a Safety and Training Coordinator to support employee training, workplace safety, environmental compliance, and sustainability at our manufacturing facility. You will coordinate training programs, conduct safety audits, investigate incidents, and maintain compliance documentation with teams across the site.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, developing, and implementing effective employee training programs.
• Ability to identify safety hazards, environmental risks, and implement corrective actions.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor employee training and workplace safety programs.
• Coordinate online and in-person training and assist with new employee onboarding.
• Conduct safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and support compliance.
• Track and report safety incidents, lead investigations, and assist with corrective actions.
• Maintain injury logs, safety reports, training records, and other compliance documents.
• Lead the facility safety committee and promote employee safety awareness.
• Support compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
• Assist environmental programs including waste management, energy efficiency, and pollution prevention.
• Monitor sustainability metrics such as water usage, energy consumption, and emissions.
• Support environmental audits, inspections, and reporting.
• Partner with operations, HR, facilities, and other teams to support EHS and training.
