Job summary

Silgan Containers is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor in Tolleson, AZ to lead 20–25 maintenance staff and supervise repairs of production equipment. The role ensures uninterrupted operations while enforcing safety and housekeeping programs.

You will oversee inventory, cost control, and contractor management to minimize downtime and support plant safety systems in a Fortune 500 global packaging facility.

Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical, electrical and facility operating systems.
• Ability to read facility drawings, electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Knowledge of maintaining production equipment and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Supervise 20–25 maintenance employees and coordinate daily tasks.
• Maintain and repair production equipment to ensure continuous quality output.
• Maintain facilities to keep the building in good working condition.
• Apply safety and housekeeping programs for an accident-free workplace.
• Manage inventory and parts to support maintenance across departments.
• Control department costs to stay within budget allocations.
• Oversee outside contractors to minimize downtime and ensure safety.
• Support plant food and product safety systems.
