Job summary

Resource Professional Solutions is seeking an EHS Technical Trainer to deliver field-based safety training across the United States. You will travel with a Mobile Training Centre to active project sites, working with frontline crews, supervisors, and teams to teach practical, hands-on safety and technical skills.

This role emphasizes field presence, real‑world scenario training, and collaboration with EHS teams and client partners. A strong safety background and comfort with travel are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in EHS, construction safety, technical training, field training, or competency-based instruction.
• Civil construction, utilities, industrial, energy, infrastructure environments.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA requirements and construction safety practices.
• Experience with hazard recognition, LOTO/energy isolation, and electrical safety concepts.
• Proven ability to train frontline field employees and supervisors.
• Strong presentation, facilitation, coaching, and communication skills.
• Experience developing or adapting lesson plans, toolbox talks, or competency-based training.
• Understanding of mobile equipment hazards and worker/equipment interaction.
• Comfortable using technology, simulators, tablets, Microsoft Office, and training systems.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively throughout the United States.
• Comfortable working variable schedules based on project needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instructor-led, practical, blended, and simulator-supported EHS training at project sites throughout the U.S.
• Facilitate training covering critical-risk controls, LOTO, electrical safety, fall protection, confined spaces, PPE, hazard recognition, incident prevention, orientation, and supervisor development
• Customize training based on project conditions, site-specific hazards, workforce experience, and operational needs
• Utilize simulator technology to create realistic, scenario-based safety and equipment training
• Coach employees on safe work practices, energy isolation, worker/equipment interaction, hazard identification, and safe task planning
• Support operator competency and assessment activities from an EHS and training perspective
• Develop, adapt, and continuously improve training materials, practical exercises, job aids, and field resources
• Maintain training records, attendance documentation, completion records, and learner feedback
• Support the setup and operation of the Mobile Training Centre at project locations
• Partner closely with EHS teams, field leadership, supervisors, employees, clients, and trade partners.

I'm recruiting for a confidential direct-hire opportunity with a leading infrastructure and construction organization seeking an experienced EHS Technical Trainer to support project sites across the United States.

This is not your typical classroom-based safety position. This individual will travel to active project sites with a Mobile Training Centre, delivering hands-on, field-focused safety and technical training to frontline employees, supervisors, and project teams.

• Understanding of mobile equipment hazards and worker/equipment interaction
• Comfortable using technology, simulators, presentation equipment, tablets, Microsoft Office, and training systems

HIGHLY DESIRABLE CREDENTIALS/EXPERIENCE:

• Other recognized construction safety or technical training credentials
• Class A CDL or willingness/ability to obtain one is a plus
• Company vehicle provided.
