Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Technician to implement and maintain regulatory compliance for OSHA, RCRA, EPA, DOT at the Vandenberg site. You will work with engineers to support launch cadence while meeting EH&S objectives.

Responsibilities include hazardous waste handling, waste labeling, inspections, spill response, SPCC plan implementation, and training programs. Strong safety mindset and documentation skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• 2+ years of experience implementing and overseeing environmental, health and safety programs.
• Experience managing hazardous waste storage and satellite accumulation areas.
• Experience with emergency response in incidents involving hazardous materials.

Responsibilities

• Ensure environmental compliance with AQMD, EPA/RCRA, DOT and CUPA.
• Handle RCRA hazardous waste storage, labeling, and disposal requirements.
• Maintain logs for hazardous waste and VOC solvent usage.
• Coordinate waste shipments and assist in spill response and SPCC plan.
