Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Technician to ensure regulatory compliance at our Vandenberg facility and support the launch cadence with robust safety programs.

You will oversee hazardous waste handling, SPCC implementation, and incident response while coordinating with engineers and technicians to maintain a safe, compliant site and boost environmental performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of experience implementing and overseeing environmental, health and safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure environmental compliance with AQMD, EPA/RCRA, DOT and CUPA.
• Manage hazardous waste handling, storage and disposal per regulations.
• Coordinate spill response and SPCC plans.
• Lead safety inspections and site surveys to enforce PPE and safe practices.
• Assist in training and emergency response drills.
• Support launch-day safety and long-term EHS initiatives.
• Inspect emergency equipment and support accident investigations.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to meet safety objectives.
