Blue Origin is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to implement our Florida site EHS programs and drive safety culture improvements across operations and compliance. You will manage hazardous waste, conduct inspections, train employees, and support incident investigations while upholding regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Environmental Health and Safety or related field required; 3–5 years of industry-related experience preferred.
• Must complete RCRA and DOT training within six months of the position for hazardous waste storage, disposal, and transportation.
• Must be willing to obtain forklift and First Aid/CPR/AED certifications.
• Must be flexible and able to work all hours, including weekends and off shifts as required.
• Knowledge of applicable safety and environmental regulations; knowledge of local, state, and federal laws.

Responsibilities

• Perform management of hazardous and non-hazardous waste: consolidate, label, inspect, and coordinate shipments.
• Conduct routine environmental and safety inspections (storm water, SPCC, wastewater, extinguishers, eyewash).
• Participate in safety walks and safety committee; follow up on corrective actions.
• Collect and enter data into EHS software modules.
• Serve as resource to work groups on EHS questions or issues; assist in incident investigations and JHA development.
• Perform health and safety audits and run reports.
