Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. (SEL) in Moscow, ID seeks an EHS Technician I to support environmental, health, and safety programs on second shift.

You will help maintain EHS records, support compliance activities, and contribute to hazard control and accident prevention across the organization. You will work with EHS professionals and plant staff to ensure regulatory compliance and promote environmental responsibility, while developing knowledge of regulatory requirements and

Qualifications

• ASP or OHST certification preferred; general knowledge of multiple EHS programs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent writing, grammar, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and refining EHS programs to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Own one to two EHS programs and maintain them to meet requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and participate in cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
• Participate in internal audits and inspections; support ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
• Coordinate chemical inventories, SDSs, scrap and waste management records.
• Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Assist in developing training programs and promote a culture of safety.
