Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Technician in Lewiston, ID. You will support engineering activities, document prototypes, and help build basic solutions under guidance.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or equivalent training/experience.
• Core curriculum: CAD modeling (CSWA), dimensioning, drawing/schematics, math, physics, technical writing.
• 2+ years in a technical/manufacturing support role involving electronics, assembly, wiring, testing, pneumatics, or automation.
• Basic MS Office skills and ability to work in a team with good communication.
• Background check satisfactory; negative drug test results.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of basic solutions under engineering guidance.
• Document prototype construction and test results; maintain records.
• Assemble and deliver basic components and solutions, estimate project inputs.
• Log time and materials accurately following procedures.
