Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Technician to implement and maintain regulatory requirements related to OSHA, RCRA, EPA, and DOT at the Vandenberg launch facility. The role collaborates with engineers and technicians to meet environmental, health, and safety objectives and sustain launch cadence goals.

Responsibilities include hazardous waste management, spill prevention, site safety oversight, incident investigations support, and delivery of safety trainings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 2+ years of experience implementing and overseeing aspects of an EHS program.
• Cal OSHA training and familiarity with regulations are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure environmental compliance with AQMD, EPA/RCRA, DOT, CUPA.
• Handle hazardous waste storage, labeling and 90‑day logs.
• Coordinate waste shipments with EHS supervisor and contractors.
• Support spill response and SPCC implementation across the facility.
• Assist in safety training, PPE assessments and job hazard analyses.
• Conduct safety surveys and ensure corrective actions are taken.
