Job summary

Responsibilities include on-site safety oversight, hazardous waste handling, accident investigations, and SPCC/SWPPP activities. A high school diploma and 2+ years in EHS are required, with relocation if not local.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 2+ years of experience implementing and overseeing EHS programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform boots on the ground safety oversight by identifying and correcting work place hazards and unsafe conditions.
• Monitor employee exposure to job and chemical hazards as regulated by OSHA PELs.
• Assist in the implementation and compliance of site-specific safety policies.
• Assist in the creation of job hazard analyses and PPE assessments.
• Perform department safety surveys to ensure proper PPE and safe practices.
• Ensure corrective actions are in place for unsafe conditions.
• Assist EHS engineers in accident investigations when necessary.
• Handle RCRA hazardous waste storage and disposal requirements.
• Monitor hazardous waste levels and maintain logs and inspections.
• Assist in waste shipments with disposal contractors.
• Conduct weekly SWPPP storm water inspections and spill response activities.
• Implement SPCC plan throughout the facility.
• Perform environmental compliance and due diligence audits.
