AbbVie is seeking a Specialist, EHS Staff in North Chicago, IL to guide and support environmental, health, and safety initiatives across site operations. You will drive EHS programs, training, and incident investigations while partnering with site leadership and Global EHS to strengthen safety culture and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role encompasses day-to-day operational support, long-term EHS initiatives, and participation in site improvements, with opportunities to build expertise

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field (EHS/Engineering/Chemistry).
Professional EHS or Engineering certification preferred.
Experience in implementing EHS regulations and leading investigations is desirable.

Responsibilities

Conduct risk assessments and identify hazards, proposing effective controls.
Support high-hazard work safety programs including LOTO, confined spaces, elevated work, and electrical safety.
Develop and deliver EHS training and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing and R&D operations.
