Job summary

EHSCareers is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist for the greater Michigan Center, MI area. You will support and improve workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and environmental health initiatives within a manufacturing environment.

You will partner with operations and site leadership to drive a strong safety culture, deliver training programs, support audits, and lead continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring audit readiness and compliance with OSHA regulations.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher in Occupational Safety, Industrial Management, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of hands on EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety programs, incident investigation, and risk assessment processes.
• Experience conducting training, audits, inspections, and maintaining compliance documentation.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote a positive safety culture through employee engagement, floor presence, safety training, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, incident investigations, root cause analysis, and risk assessments
• Administer EHS training programs, onboarding, compliance tracking, and safety documentation systems
• Support OSHA/regulatory compliance, emergency preparedness activities, and environmental health & safety reporting
• Partner with site leadership to implement proactive safety improvements and maintain audit readiness
