Job summary

Amcor is seeking an EHS Specialist to plan, direct, and implement the environmental, health and safety program at the site, ensuring a safe and incident-free work environment. You will support OSHA reporting, incident investigations, and employee training to uphold Amcor's safety standards.

The role involves developing safety policies, coordinating with on-site teams, and maintaining compliance with OSHA, EPA and NFPA guidelines while contributing to a safer workplace and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• Associate or Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Safety Management, Occupational Health and Safety Management or a related field preferred.
• At least one year of safety experience in an industrial setting preferred, plastics industry experience helpful.
• Some knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NFPA and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and manage safety programs, policies and procedures.
• Prepare monthly accident summary reports.
• Assist with incident investigations and safety training programs.
• Conduct daily safety walks and identify hazards to correct unsafe conditions.
• Assist in risk assessments with on-site teams.
