Actalent in Mentor, Ohio is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to oversee safety and environmental programs, assure regulatory compliance, and drive accident-prevention initiatives across the manufacturing site.

You will manage OSHA and DOT HazMat requirements, handle SDS files, wastewater compliance, training, inspections, and incident investigations, balancing floor work with desk duties to sustain a strong safety culture.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in safety, environmental science, engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of related experience in safety or environmental compliance.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and DOT HazMat requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, implement, and monitor safety programs to reduce accidents and injuries.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and DOT regulations, including HazMat handling and shipping.
• Manage Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) and HazCom programs.
• Lead safety training for employees and supervisors.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate wastewater management and environmental compliance activities.
