Job summary

The Armor Group in Mason, Ohio seeks an Environmental Health and Safety Manager to develop, implement, and oversee programs that ensure regulatory compliance and a safe working environment for employees, visitors, and the surrounding area.

You will inspect facilities and processes, identify hazardous materials, lead safety staff, and coordinate training, metrics, and investigations to drive continuous improvement and compliance with OSHA/EPA standards.

Qualifications

• Safety-specific bachelor's degree and 5+ years in a safety role; or equivalent.
• Experience in EHS management, preferably in manufacturing or metal fabrication.
• Safety and/or environmental certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and evaluate the environment, equipment and processes for compliance with regulations and standards.
• Identify hazardous materials and collect samples for analysis.
• Lead Safety Staff and drive safety programs, initiatives and requirements.
• Develop and maintain EHS policies and procedures.
• Coordinate safety training, communications and metrics.
