Job summary

Veolia is seeking an EHS Specialist to manage health, safety, industrial hygiene, and OSHA programs across multiple U.S. sites including Bellevue, Cary, Leonia and Glen Allen. The role focuses on creating a safe, compliant workplace and driving sustainability initiatives under the EHS Senior Manager.

The candidate will lead incident investigations, safety trainings, audits, and program improvements, collaborating with management and employees to minimize risks.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Chemistry, Engineering, or Environmental Science, or relevant experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in an EHS role.
• Knowledge of hazard recognition, evaluation, and control.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead compliance with federal, state, local, and corporate EHS laws, regulations, policies, and guidelines.
• Audit processes in ergonomics, emergency preparedness and response, maintenance, and contractor management.
• Support and improve EHS programs to reduce hazards and risks at the plant.
• Lead or assist in EHS projects and required reporting.
