Job summary

GE Aerospace Lafayette is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to drive strategic and tactical EHS priorities within a self-directed, high-performance team. The role partners with the Site EHS Leader and EHS council to advance safety frameworks and regulatory compliance.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in EHS and a minimum of 3 years in manufacturing or EHS, with strong communication skills and leadership ability. Relocation assistance is provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 3 years of manufacturing or EHS experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in audits and contractor audits.
• Support safety investigations and implement countermeasures.
• Lead EHS trainings (Intro to EHS, Fire extinguisher, Ergo, etc.).
• Maintain written programs and policies.
• Assist with annual environmental permitting.
