Job summary

Wyman Gordon, a division of Precision Castparts Corp., seeks a Safety Specialist to lead site-wide safety and occupational health programs at our Princeton, KY facility. Reporting to plant leadership, you will drive a zero-incident safety culture across manufacturing operations and partner with leadership to embed safety in daily work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or a related technical discipline.
• 1–3+ years of safety, industrial hygiene, or EHS experience within heavy manufacturing.
• Solid foundation in OSHA regulations, hazard communication, LOTO, machine guarding, and PPE.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain occupational safety and health policies compliant with OSHA and federal/state standards.
• Lead risk assessments, JSAs, and root-cause investigations with tracking mechanisms for action items.
• Champion behavioral safety and drive engagement and cross-functional change on the floor.
• Collaborate with plant leadership, production supervisors, and maintenance to integrate safety into daily workflows.
• Lead the site Safety Committee and coordinate safety/industrial hygiene projects.
• Support environmental compliance, auditing, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Develop and deliver interactive safety training; stay current on regulatory standards.
• Manage third-party safety consultants to ensure quality service within budget.
