EHS Specialist: Safety & Compliance Lead

Job summary

Kari-Out is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to support two New Jersey sites, with the primary office in Totowa. You will develop and maintain programs to ensure OSHA, EPA and local regulatory compliance across manufacturing and warehousing operations.

You will deliver training, lead incident investigations, maintain OSHA logs and SDS, and drive continuous safety improvements. A bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2+ years of EHS experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, occupational health & safety, industrial hygiene, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, including OSHA 300 logs and incident reporting.
• Understanding of EPA/RCRA and hazardous materials management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver initial and refresher safety training across two NJ facilities (LOTO, Hazard Communication, chemical safety, PPE, etc.).
• Lead incident investigations with root cause analysis for accidents, injuries, near misses.
• Respond to EHS incidents and provide corrective-action guidance and regulatory reporting.
