Job summary

Veolia is seeking an EHS Specialist to manage and implement Health, Safety, and OSHA compliance programs across multiple sites in the U.S., including Norfolk, VA. You will lead hazard recognition, evaluation, and control, and provide guidance to management and staff on environmental and industrial health practices.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Chemistry, Engineering, or Environmental Science, or relevant experience.
• At least 3 to 5 years of experience in an EHS role.

Responsibilities

• Lead compliance with federal, state, local, and corporate EHS laws and guidelines.
• Analyze data and audit processes in ergonomics, emergency response, maintenance, and more.
• Support and improve EHS programs to reduce hazards and risks.
• Lead EHS projects and required reports.
• Investigate incidents, perform root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct safety inspections and provide technical guidance to site teams.
• Participate in incident investigations and sustainability reporting.
• Promote behavior-based safety and ensure training completion.
