Job summary

The EHS Specialist at Veolia will implement and administer Health, Safety, and OSHA programs across multiple facilities, including Cary, Leonia, Richmond, and Bellevue, under the EHS Senior Manager. The role focuses on creating a healthy, accident-free workplace by identifying hazards and applying control measures.

You will lead compliance efforts, conduct safety inspections, investigations, and trainings, and support sustainability reporting.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a related field (Occupational Health and Safety, Chemistry, Engineering, or Environmental Science).
• 3–5 years of experience in an EHS role.
• Knowledge of hazard recognition, evaluation, and control.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead compliance with federal, state, local, and corporate EHS laws, regulations, policies, and guidelines.
• Analyze data and audit processes for Ergonomics, emergency preparedness, and other management standards.
• Support and improve EHS programs to reduce hazards and risks.
• Lead or support EHS projects and required reporting.
• Lead or participate in incident investigations and root cause analyses.
