Job summary

CertainTeed Siding in Jackson, MI is hiring an EHS Specialist to help drive safety culture, compliance, training, incident prevention, and continuous improvement in a dynamic manufacturing environment. OSHA experience is preferred.

The role partners with the EHS Manager to ensure compliance with federal, state, local and Saint-Gobain EHS requirements while strengthening the site’s safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Management, Business or related field preferred.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment focused on safety, environmental health, or industrial hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Promote a visible, positive safety culture through active presence and employee engagement.
• Support BBS, WCM, and 5S initiatives.
• Deliver EHS training, including new hire orientation and annual regulatory training.
• Maintain training records and safety orientations for visitors.
• Assist with safety meetings, plant communications, and SHESC initiatives.
• Provide EHS guidance to leaders and employees.
• Support OSHA/MIOSHA compliance, safety audits, and inspections.
