Job summary

Conagra Brands in Council Bluffs, IA is seeking a results-driven EHS professional to support the plant's Environment, Health, Safety and Sustainability programs. You will integrate safety practices into daily operations, manage projects, training, and compliance, and partner with Production, Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality teams to foster a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in project management or environment, health, and safety roles within manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Experience presenting training materials and reporting to leadership.
• Familiarity with OSHA, EPA and relevant regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members and subject matter experts to design and implement plant-specific environment, health, and safety programs.
• Support project planning and execution for environment, health, and safety initiatives, ensuring alignment with plant goals.
• Assist with the development and rollout of standardized safety programs tailored to plant operations.
• Coordinate internal environment, health, and safety audits, including scheduling, reporting, and tracking corrective actions to completion.
• Support emergency preparedness programs, including evacuation drills and severe weather response plans.
• Develop and deliver environment, health, and safety training for plant personnel.
• Maintain and report safety and environmental performance metrics on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis to plant leadership.
• Serve as a resource for continuous improvement in safety culture and regulatory compliance.
