Orchid Orthopedic Solutions in Chelsea, MI is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist to support safety and regulatory compliance across Chelsea and Detroit sites. You will conduct training, inspections, and program development to foster a safety-focused culture.

You’ll manage hazardous materials, SDS, and waste programs, participate in the Safety Committee, and work with OSHA/EPA as needed. A CSP/CHCM endorsement is preferred and experience in manufacturing is valued.

Qualifications

• Safety knowledge and compliance with Federal and State regulations.
• Experience supporting/implementing EH&S in a manufacturing environment.
• CSP certification preferred.
• First Aid/CPR/AED for Schools and the Community preferred.
• Certified Hazard Control Manager preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in a safety-focused manufacturing environment.

Responsabilités

• Assist with safety training for employees on health and safety topics.
• Conduct periodic safety and environmental inspections and drive corrective actions.
• Support review and improvement of EH&S programs and documentation.
• Develop training records and keep training materials current.
• Manage hazardous materials, SDS updates, and waste handling.
• Coordinate Safety Committee activities and assist with investigations.
