Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety or related field or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and general manufacturing safety standards.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, hands‑on manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Support implementation and maintenance of plant EHS programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, risk assessments, and hazard identification activities, including JSAs and ergonomic reviews.
• Assist with incident, near‑miss, and safety concern investigations, including documentation, corrective action tracking, and follow‑up.
• Support development, coordination, and delivery of EHS training programs, including new‑hire orientation and refresher training.
• Assist with environmental compliance activities, including waste management, air, water, and chemical programs, permitting, reporting, and recordkeeping.
• Maintain EHS documentation, logs, and metrics, including training records, incident logs, corrective actions, and KPI reporting (e.g., TRIR, audits, near misses).
• Support internal and external audits, regulatory inspections, emergency response planning, and drills.
• Promote a proactive safety culture by participating in safety committees, plant meetings, employee engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support EHS program deployment for new or expanding plant operations, including baseline risk assessments, safety readiness reviews, and onboarding support during ramp‑up.
