Job summary

Danone USA in Minster, Ohio seeks an EHS Specialist to lead safety, environmental and health processes in a 24/7 manufacturing setting. The role focuses on creating a safe, compliant work environment while supporting cost control and sustainable practices.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in occupational safety or environmental discipline with 2+ years of industry experience; LEAN/Six Sigma knowledge; experience with Lockout Tagout; and ability to train diverse teams across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in occupational safety, environmental discipline, chemistry, or related field with 2+ years in safety/environmental management.
• Experience in food/beverage manufacturing preferred; supervisory experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of OSHA/EPA/ISO 14001 requirements and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to implement EH&S programs and lead training across varied audiences.
• Strong problem solving with LEAN and Six Sigma methods.

Responsibilities

• Develop safety, security and environmental programs for site and workers.
• Lead the WISE safety process, define goals and leadership competencies.
• Manage Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) program.
• Develop risk assessment methods to identify and reduce hazards.
• Create training systems to meet facility needs.
• Support capital projects to improve safety and environmental performance.
• Allocate resources to safety systems and drive continuous improvement.
• Conduct incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA and related regulations.
