Job summary

Dover Food Retail in Conyers, GA seeks an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist to ensure OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory compliance across the facility. The role includes conducting hazard assessments, incident investigations, and maintaining EHS documentation, with a focus on safety training and contractor oversight.

Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 3 years of EHS experience in manufacturing or industrial environments; CSP/ASP or similar

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in safety/environmental field.
• Minimum 3 years of EHS experience in manufacturing, distribution, warehousing, construction, or industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine facility inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
• Support compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other regulatory requirements.
• Assist in developing and delivering EHS training programs.
• Investigate incidents, near misses and injuries; perform root cause analysis and track corrective actions.
• Maintain EHS records, reports, permits, and regulatory documentation.
• Support emergency preparedness programs, drills, and response activities.
• Participate in risk assessments, JSAs, and machine safety reviews.
• Monitor contractor safety and compliance activities.
• Assist with workers' compensation, return-to-work, and injury management processes.
• Track safety metrics and prepare reports for leadership review.
• Promote employee engagement through safety committees and continuous improvement initiatives.
