Job summary

Atkore International, Harvey, IL, seeks an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Site Manager to lead compliance and improvement initiatives at the facility. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will ensure OSHA/EPA regulatory compliance and drive safe, environmentally responsible operations.

The role covers policy development, training design, inspections, incident investigations, permit management, workers’ compensation coordination, and interface with regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business/engineering.
• 5–8 years in an EHS leadership role within manufacturing.
• Professional certification in Environmental, Industrial Hygiene, or Safety preferred.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental management systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with EHS regulations and maintain records.
• Develop and manage EHS policies aligned with OSHA/EPA requirements.
• Design safety training for managers and employees.
• Conduct facility inspections and implement corrective actions.
• Lead investigations of incidents and environmental events.
• Submit regulatory and incident reports to leadership and agencies.
• Coordinate Workers' Compensation program with corporate resources.
• Manage environmental permits and regulatory filings.
• Coach staff to strengthen EHS program effectiveness.
• Perform risk assessments and analyze injury trends.
• Serve as primary site contact for inspections and inquiries.
• Align site with corporate EHS standards.
• Manage first-aid and lost-time injury documentation.
• Support EHSMS and Lean Daily Management initiatives.
• Manage EHS contractors and projects for compliance.
