Job summary

Atkore is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager for the Harvey, IL facility. You will lead EHS compliance and improvement initiatives, reporting to the Director of Operations, and coordinate with corporate teams on regulatory requirements and safety training.

The role requires 5–8 years of EHS leadership in manufacturing, knowledge of OSHA/EPA programs, and the ability to develop and sustain safety systems while driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, engineering, or related field.
• 5–8 years of EHS leadership experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Professional certifications in Environmental, Industrial Hygiene, or Safety preferred.
• Solid knowledge of safety and environmental management systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local EHS regulations and maintain records for regulatory compliance.
• Develop and manage EHS policies, programs, and procedures per OSHA/EPA requirements including Title V and wastewater reporting.
• Design and deliver safety training on fire prevention, LOTO, fall protection, hazardous materials handling, and safe work practices.
• Conduct facility inspections and audits; implement corrective actions and verify closure.
• Lead investigations of incidents, near misses, and environmental events; implement root-cause actions.
• Prepare regulatory, environmental, and incident reports for leadership and agencies.
• Administer Workers’ Compensation program and coordinate with corporate resources to reduce lost-time incidents.
• Maintain environmental permits, licenses, and filings; ensure timely renewals.
• Provide coaching and training to strengthen EHS program effectiveness and compliance.
• Analyze accident trends and hazards to support continuous improvement; liaise with regulators as site contact.
