Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety-related field or equivalent manufacturing experience
• 1–3 years of industrial/manufacturing experience
• EMT or firefighter experience preferred
• CSP, ASP, GSP certifications
• Knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, and Workers' Compensation regulations
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Ability to work independently on complex issues

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead plant safety meetings with management
• Implement and maintain SDS manuals for job sites and offices
• Train employees on SDS procedures
• Provide safety signage and barriers to warn hazards
• Administer and maintain facility EHS programs
• Assist improvement initiatives related to OSHA, EPA, and best practices
• Determine corrective actions and assign owners; follow up
• Conduct periodic plant safety inspections
• Advise management on hazards, training, and safe equipment use
• Maintain SDS program and hazardous materials control; test samples
• Disseminate safety communications promptly
• Maintain training records and communicate with leadership
