Arcosa Wind Towers in Belen, NM seeks an Environmental & Safety Coordinator I to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regs. You will lead safety programs, train supervisors, and manage onboarding for employees and subcontractors to maintain a safe, healthy workplace.

The role emphasizes developing PPE standards, maintaining SDS procedures, and driving EHS program improvements in collaboration with management and HR. Safety awareness and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety or related field preferred.
• 1+ years of plant safety experience preferred.
• Certifications CPS, CIH, ASP, GSP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead and participate in plant safety meetings with management.
• Assist in training and ensuring supervisors can run safety meetings.
• Review and update monthly plant safety metrics.
• Develop safe operating techniques and coordinate with maintenance.
• Lead safety onboarding for employees and subcontractors.
• Ensure adherence to safety policies and corrective actions.
• Maintain SDS manuals and train employees in SDS procedures.
• Support incident reporting and return-to-work processes.
• Maintain EHS programs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
