Job summary

Arcosa Wind Towers in Belen, NM is seeking an Environmental & Safety Coordinator I to ensure compliance with federal, state, local safety regulations and to proactively direct the company’s safety program for a safe, healthy work environment. Reports to Safety Manager and collaborates with plant management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a safety science, safety management, industrial hygiene, environmental science, occupational health, engineering or other industrial discipline work experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in plant safety meetings with management.
• Train supervisors to run safety meetings.
• Review monthly plant safety metrics and update SOPs.
• Develop safe operating techniques with maintenance.
• Lead onboarding for employees and contractors on safety.
• Maintain SDS manuals and train employees on procedures.
• Manage EHS programs and ensure compliance with OSHA/EPA.
• Coordinate safety incident reporting and corrective actions.
• Support ESG initiatives and Safety Committee activities.
• Plan disaster and emergency response procedures.
