Job summary

Amazon is seeking a talented EHS professional with experience in safety and compliance for R&D and manufacturing of automation and robotic technologies. The role partners with product, manufacturing and deployment teams to scale safety programs and ensure compliance with regulations and Amazon policies.

You will mentor EHS professionals, lead site safety assessments, and drive continuous improvement through data and audits. Travel up to 20% required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety, environmental, or equivalent.
• 5+ years in EHS or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations.
• Experience conducting or overseeing workplace risk assessments, hazard analyses, and mitigation strategies.
• Experience providing EHS oversight across multiple sites and coordinating priorities.
• Experience with OSHA General Industry & Construction standards, hazardous waste management (RCRA), and regulatory reporting.
• Industrial Hygiene regulations knowledge and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS standards and launch playbooks for site activation programs.
• Lead on-site safety assessments and drive corrective actions to closure.
• Mentor and develop EHS professionals to ensure consistent safety execution.
• Own and improve EHS procedures for safety programs.
• Perform safety risk assessments and hazard mitigation for contractor activities.
• Collaborate with Operations, Facilities, Engineering, and Security to integrate EHS requirements.
• Advise site leadership on safety regulations, emergency preparedness, and incident response protocols.
• Leverage data, audit findings, and incident trends to identify gaps and scalable solutions.
• Develop and deliver EHS training content and communications.
• Travel up to 20% to multiple sites.
