Job summary

Zero Carbon Systems seeks an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Program Manager to lead ZCS's EHS program. This role owns the hazardous waste program end to end, leads process safety reviews for the laboratory and R&D environment, and maintains the full library of EHS and process safety documentation.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in chemical operations and a proven record of implementing EHS best practices across a range of environments.

Qualifications

• Must have extensive EHS leadership experience across facilities and labs.
• Strong knowledge of hazardous waste management & regulatory compliance.
• Experience implementing PSMS and process safety documentation.
• Familiarity with carbon capture or clean energy tech is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the EHS program across sites, setting strategy and standards.
• Own hazardous waste program end-to-end including tracking and compliance.
• Lead HAZID/HAZOP/PHA/JHA activities and maintain safety docs.
• Oversee construction safety, contractor safety onboarding, and on-site compliance.
• Manage occupational health, IH, and incident response programs.
• Drive continuous improvement with safety metrics and program updates.
