Job summary

Green Recruitment Company is seeking an EHS Manager to oversee environmental, health and safety activities at a growing US manufacturing site. The role focuses on chemical safety, specialty gases, process safety and site operations.

The role includes leading day-to-day EHS programs, implementing safety policies, and coordinating with engineering and facilities to ensure regulatory compliance and a strong safety culture at the site.

Qualifications

• Strong EHS / Safety experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Direct hands-on experience with hazardous chemicals and specialty gases.
• Experience in semiconductor, chemical, pharmaceutical/medical, battery or electronics manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of US EHS regulations (Carolina preferred).
• Experience with chemical delivery and gas systems, production equipment, and facility infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day EHS programs across the manufacturing site.
• Develop and implement site safety policies, procedures and compliance programs.
• Manage safety requirements related to hazardous chemicals and specialty gases.
• Conduct risk assessments, job hazard analyses and process safety reviews.
• Lead incident investigations, root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Support emergency response planning and chemical spill response.
• Ensure compliance with US federal, state, and local EHS regulations including OSHA.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and employee safety training.
• Collaborate with engineering and facilities on equipment and facility changes.
• Support contractor safety and permit-to-work processes.
• Build a strong safety culture aligned with manufacturing needs.
