Job summary

Precoat Metals, La Porte plant, is seeking an experienced EHS professional to partner with plant management and drive a culture of safety. Responsibilities include monitoring environmental conditions, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading safety programs across the site in Indiana.

The role requires a Bachelor degree in safety/environmental management or related field and 3+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing, with knowledge of OSHA, EPA regulations, and ISO 14001.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in safety/environmental management or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of workplace EHS management experience.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments (coil coating preferred).
• Knowledge of state and federal safety guidelines and regulations.
• Familiarity with ISO 14001 and OSHA documentation.

Responsibilities

• Monitors working & environmental conditions for compliance with regs.
• Oversees forklift/crane training; maintains records and certifications.
• Chairs Safety Committee; conducts monthly meetings.
• Maintains OSHA logs and reporting; administers ERP plans.
• Conducts safety audits and documents inspections in CMMS.
• Manages incident investigations, reporting and corrective actions.
• Maintains SPCC/SWPPP, Tier II, Hazardous Waste reports, and permits.
