Qualifications

• Basic: Bachelor's Degree; 1 year safety experience in manufacturing or similar setting.
• Preferred: BS in safety, industrial hygiene or environmental topic; strong execution focus.
• Knowledge of applicable Federal and State EHS regulations and procedures.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem solving and human relations skills.
• Ability to make decisions with sometimes incomplete data; initiative and tenacity.

Responsibilities

• Assist with location fatality and serious injury prevention efforts and lead deployment of key elements.
• Analyze injury and incident data and help line management implement injury reduction efforts.
• Assist with industrial hygiene program including sampling plans, IH databases, exposure records, hazardous material management, ergonomics, radiation protection.
• Provide technical expertise in injury/incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Assist with environmental compliance activities.
• Coach departmental leaders in EHS accountabilities and partner with location leadership to deliver objectives.
• Lead and assist with other EHS accountabilities.
