Job summary

The Environmental, Health & Safety Manager at Isolatek International's Stanhope, NJ site will lead the development and execution of EHS programs across manufacturing plants, driving safety culture and regulatory compliance.

You will partner with plant leadership, environmental consultants, and regulators to identify hazards, implement controls, and promote continuous improvement in safety and environmental performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; a degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a closely related field is preferred.
• Professional certification such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or another appropriate and relevant EHS credential.
• Solid working knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations, including requirements applicable to air, stormwater, wastewater, and waste management.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and practical experience applying requirements in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Demonstrated experience leading safety improvement initiatives and reducing workplace injuries and incidents.
• Experience managing environmental permits and third-party environmental consultants.
• Experience coordinating industrial hygiene assessments and implementing corrective actions, including engineering controls.
• Ability to conduct effective compliance audits, clearly document findings, assess risk, and drive corrective actions to timely closure.
• Strong written, verbal, analytical, organizational, and influencing skills.
• Ability to work effectively with employees at all organizational levels and to balance regulatory requirements with practical operating needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategies to strengthen safety culture and reduce injuries using leading and lagging indicators.
• Maintain and improve EHS policies, procedures, standards, and programs.
• Lead or support investigations of injuries, illnesses, near misses, spills; ensure root causes and corrective actions.
• Conduct audits to verify OSHA, EPA, state and local compliance and track corrective actions.
• Oversee environmental permits, plans, reporting, monitoring, and renewals (air, stormwater, wastewater, waste).
• Plan third-party industrial hygiene testing and exposure assessments; implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate risk assessments and engage engineering to implement solutions.
• Develop and deliver EHS training; communicate regulatory changes and performance trends.
• Serve as primary contact for regulatory inspections and consultants.
• Maintain EHS records and regulatory documentation; OSHA recordkeeping and submissions.
• Support emergency preparedness plans, drills, and response procedures.
• Advise leadership on EHS risks, priorities, and capital needs.
