Job summary

Software Placement Group, SPG, on behalf of our client, seeks an experienced Environmental, Health and Safety Manager for its Anderson, South Carolina facility. Lead the EHS function, ensuring OSHA/EPA compliance while aligning with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems.

You will oversee audits, incident investigations, training, emergency planning, and cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, HR, Quality, and Materials.

Qualifications

• Proven Environmental, Health and Safety experience in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA requirements and federal/state/local regulations.
• Experience developing and improving EHS programs and management systems.
• Experience with workplace inspections, audits, risk assessments, and ergonomic evaluations.
• Ability to lead investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Experience delivering engaging EHS training to multiple audiences.
• Understanding emergency response, hazardous materials handling, waste management and environmental compliance.
• Ability to translate complex regulations into practical policies and controls.
• Analytical mindset with ability to use EHS metrics for improvements.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for EHS programs, policies, and initiatives across the facility.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulations at all levels.
• Maintain and improve EHS management systems aligned with ISO standards.
• Develop and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and training programs.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, risk assessments, and hazard analyses.
• Lead investigations into accidents and incidents, implementing corrective actions.
• Deliver EHS orientation and training for employees, supervisors, and contractors.
• Coordinate emergency response plans, drills, and preparedness activities.
• Manage environmental compliance programs for waste, air emissions, water discharge, etc.
• Maintain EHS records, permits, and regulatory reports, ensuring audit readiness.
• Analyze EHS performance metrics and drive risk reduction.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, HR, Quality, and Materials.
• Support external inspections, audits, and regulatory inquiries.
• Promote safety culture and continuous improvement across site leadership.
