Job summary

Lee Kum Kee USA seeks an Environmental, Health & Safety Manager to lead the development and continuous improvement of EHS programs across the company. You will ensure compliance with OSHA, Cal-OSHA, EPA, and local regulations, drive a proactive safety culture, and support both local and out-of-state facilities.

The role covers safety management, training, audits, regulatory monitoring, and incident investigations. Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and hands-on leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Safety Management or equivalent is required.
• 7+ years of hands-on EHS management experience in manufacturing (food manufacturing preferred).
• Strong working knowledge of Cal-OSHA and Federal OSHA regulations.
• Safety certification (e.g., CSP) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage occupational health & safety programs, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain IIPP in alignment with Cal-OSHA/OSHA requirements.
• Lead daily safety oversight: PPE, equipment safeguards, safe work practices.
• Certify forklift, aerial lift, fall protection, and confined space training.
• Provide coaching on safety initiatives and corrective actions to staff and leaders.
• Serve as primary site representative during safety regulatory inspections.
• Maintain hazardous waste and universal waste programs with proper records.
• Coordinate environmental permits and external consultants for compliance.
• Develop and maintain environmental documents, SOPs, and emergency procedures.
• Coordinate industrial hygiene studies and corrective actions.
• Support FDA self-assessments and safety components of inspections.
