Job summary

Spreetail is seeking a Safety Manager to lead proactive safety programs across our fulfillment operations. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on, floor-level presence to drive incident investigations, training, and compliance.

You will own safety metrics, coordinate with Operations, and ensure audits, responses, and training are executed with a focus on reducing risk and protecting associates across multiple shifts.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of safety or EHS experience in a production, warehouse, distribution center, or e-fulfillment environment.
• Hands-on experience conducting Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), safety audits, incident investigations, and root cause analyses.
• Formal or extensive regulatory experience and onsite support responsibilities (e.g., 300 logs, complaints).
• Ability to own and execute integrated safety programs independently without Safety Supervisor support.
• Comfortable on the warehouse floor with a significant portion of time spent away from a desk.

Responsibilities

• Own key safety metrics (ORIR & LTI) and drive corrective actions with Operations.
• Document and thoroughly investigate every OSHA recordable; ensure timely closure of actions.
• Ensure new hire and PIT safety training completion is at least 95% across all associates and departments.
• Conduct monthly safety audits, track open items, and drive closure and improvement.
• Maintain current emergency response plans, evacuation procedures, and first aid resources across shifts.
• Actively manage workers’ compensation claims and implement modified duty programs to reduce costs.
