Job summary

Aztalan Bio LLC in Johnson Creek, WI is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Manager to lead site-wide EHS programs in a manufacturing setting. You will ensure compliance with all EH&S policies, provide leadership on continuous improvement, and coordinate training, incident investigations, and regulatory reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environment, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Current compliance with ongoing EHS training (min. 40 hours/year).
• At least 5 years of EHS experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Proficient computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Excellent written and verbal skills across all levels of the organization.
• Ability to analyze information from regulations, bulletins and reports for management.

Responsibilities

• Establish and communicate EHS goals and strategies for a safe workplace.
• Develop and maintain written safety standards and procedures aligned with regulations.
• Monitor EHS requirements and update practices and documentation accordingly.
• Design and implement training programs on safety standards and procedures.
• Oversee regulatory areas: Title V air permit, wastewater, groundwater, and storm water.
• Manage safety programs including plant safety committee and incentives.
• Conduct EHS inspections and audits.
• Oversee incident reporting, investigations and workers' comp coordination.
• Ensure timely safety and environmental reporting to external agencies.
• Evaluate and procure safety equipment as needed.
